DIY rats nibbled on my shirt

I've seen shirts like this around a lot, that look like you've got hungry rats in your closet! They fit perfectly in the trend of distressed clothing.
I thought this would be pretty easy to do yourself on old tshirts instead of spending money on new ones with this holey look. Or you can buy cheap ones at H&M, Primark, Forever21, second hand stores or online (ebay, amazon) and distress them.

what you need:
  • shirts (cotton ones work the best)
  • scissors

what you do:
  • turn your shirt into a muscle-tee (this step is optional); if you don't know how, here's a how-to I uploaded a couple of weeks ago
  • pick an area where you want to cluster some holes (you should definitely cluster them somewhere on your shirt so it looks like it's on purpose)
  • for smaller holes: make a vertical fold and cut a small slit into the fabric
  • for big holes: pick a horizontal fold on your shirt, hold it between your fingers and then cut along them
  • you can varify placements and sizes!
  • if you want you can tug them a little to enhance the look even more; washing your shirt will help too!
