homemade spinach-basil pesto

This recipe was completely improvised, so the measurements are really vague. Sorry for that! But they are not really crucial so it shouldn't be a big deal :)



what you need:
  • olive oil
  • a handful of basil leaves
  • two hands of spinach leaves
  • a small pile of ground almond
  • a slightly bigger pile of ground Parmesan
  • a blender

what you do:
  • wash basil and spinach leaves; cut the spinach leaves a little to make the blending process easier
  • put it all in the blender and blend it (ha!) 
  • keep adding olive oil while blending until you get a smooth texture
  • voilĂ !


This is a really simple recipe but that's just what you need sometimes :D I was in a hurry so I didn't even care to add onions or garlic, but you could totally do that! You can also add extra pepper and salt. I simply served it with spaghetti and a yummy salad. I will post the recipe for this one this week.
