DIY fall/winter dessert apple crumble recipe

Apple Crumble

what you need:
  • oil (I used rapeseed oil)
  • 8-10 apples depending on the size of your casserole
  • sugar and cinnamon
  • almonds and raisins (this is completely optional!)
  • the crumble (for 9 apples):
  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 300 grams of wheat flour
  • about 200 grams of butter

what you do:
  • rub your casserole with some oil
  • peel and slice your apples (make sure you don't cut them too small or they get all weird when they are baked)
  • fill your casserole about 2/3 with apples
  • sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon over them (and if you want, you can use some almonds and raisins)
  • put your flour in a bowl, add the butter and start kneading until the crumble are how you like them
  • add the sugar and mix it with the crumble
  • spread the crumble evenly over the apples and make sure everything is covered nicely!
  • put the whole thing in the pre-heated oven (180°C) for about 30 minutes!
  • serve it with some whipped cream or ice cream & enjoy!

This dessert is so delicious! Everyone who tried it so far loved it and asked for the recipe. I think this is great especially for the colder months 'cause the cinnamon gives the whole thing a kind of christmas-y feel. You can adapt this recipe to your personal taste and even use different fruits, however you like.
