Apple Crumble
what you need:
- oil (I used rapeseed oil)
- 8-10 apples depending on the size of your casserole
- sugar and cinnamon
- almonds and raisins (this is completely optional!)
- the crumble (for 9 apples):
- 300 grams of sugar
- 300 grams of wheat flour
- about 200 grams of butter
what you do:
- rub your casserole with some oil
- peel and slice your apples (make sure you don't cut them too small or they get all weird when they are baked)
- fill your casserole about 2/3 with apples
- sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon over them (and if you want, you can use some almonds and raisins)
- put your flour in a bowl, add the butter and start kneading until the crumble are how you like them
- add the sugar and mix it with the crumble
- spread the crumble evenly over the apples and make sure everything is covered nicely!
- put the whole thing in the pre-heated oven (180°C) for about 30 minutes!
- serve it with some whipped cream or ice cream & enjoy!
This dessert is so delicious! Everyone who tried it so far loved it and asked for the recipe. I think this is great especially for the colder months 'cause the cinnamon gives the whole thing a kind of christmas-y feel. You can adapt this recipe to your personal taste and even use different fruits, however you like.
